Audio Interface Guide

Choose and configure your interface for TandaBuilder

Overview

TandaBuilder requires an audio interface capable of handling two independent stereo audio streams:

  • Live Stream: Audio broadcast to the audience
  • Pre-listen Stream: Audio for the DJ (monitoring)

This guide helps you choose the right interface and configure it correctly.

🎯 Recommended Interfaces

Important: Headphones typically use the same channels as one of the stereo outputs. They do not constitute an additional independent output.

MOTU

PreSonus

⚠️ Limited Interfaces

These interfaces can only handle one audio stream. Recommended solution: Use the Mac's headphone output for pre-listening.

  • ❌ Scarlett Solo: Mono output only
  • ❌ Scarlett 2i2: Single output (no separate routing)
  • ❌ MOTU M2: Single output + headphones (same signal)
